And when a judge in Santa Cruz applied the law to the facts last month, to temporarily halt the program, until an Environmental Impact Report could be completed, they literally smeared the judge on the California Department of Food and Agriculture web site, accusing him of "bureaucracy", presenting ONLY comments supporting their position. The facts are that the LBAM may have been around for 30 years, no evidence has been presented yet that it has actually caused any crop damage, and upwards of a thousand people reported getting sick the last time they tried this. And growing evidence is that attempts to chemically eradicate this species will actually be counterproductive by killing off its natural predators.
